And by that you must mean that White, a cop, will not be charged.

For one thing, he wasn’t drug or alcohol tested. The cops said that a police only gets tested when there is some reason to believe he is under the influence.
I’m not saying he was under the influence. But I believe that was an example of special treatment.
A civilian involved in a road rage shooting would be tested.

I really believe the officials in charge of his case will let it slide with no charges brought against White.

We will have to see if that’s how it turns out.

If a private citizen did exactly what White did in exactly the same circumstances,
would charges have been brought against that private citizen?

That would be a Yes or a No.

If Silva had not put her child’s life in danger, she would have been arrested the minute the police arrived on the scene.

Officer White’s case is taking a VERY long time.

Not really, It took almost a year for the DA to say they were not going to charge Mansker.

I will be pleasantly surprised if White is charged, but I think it more likely that the County will shove it under the carpet.

You never did tell me if you believe this case is being handled the same way that it would be if White was a private citizen with a carry permit.

Doesn’t change the fact that the county, not the city is going to make this decision. Beyond that, the Feds also could bring charges. So portraying this as some cabal or kangaroo court is way off base.

Both NYC and LA are Sanctuary cities that routinely violate Federal law to protect illegal aliens. As for NYPD, and LAPD; do you really want the SDPD to be that incompetent? The problem with those two agencies is they are overseen by leftist kooks who are touchy-feely buffoons more worried about someone’s feelings than about law enforcement. So someone has to determine if it was reasonable for Officer White to use deadly force when he started shooting.

Since the County knows it will be facing civil lawsuits in this case, I believe the County should not make the decision on the validity of Officer White’s claims of fear of death.

A jury should make that decision in a criminal court.

Officer White may have made a reasonable decision when he started shooting.
He may also have started shooting because he was angry and out of control.

It is not a black and white question.

If someone made me mad in a road rage incident, it would not be my option to kill that person and then claim I was afraid that the guy had a gun or was about to smash into my car.
My actions would have to be reasonable. And much like Joe Horn’s case in Texas, a jury should hear the evidence and decide if my actions were reasonable.

A jury, not my employer.
