Emmy Stupidity
Sep 23rd, 2008 by Mark

Well it’s that time of year, again. The ’small screen’ people come out and pat themselves on the back. Nikke Finke has coverage here. It also brings out the clueless, and the inane to comment about … grammar.
Yep, it’s grammar that seems to piss off the lefties these days.
Yes some are more concerned with grammar than they are with making intelligent arguments. They are called lefties, as in liberals. Funny he didn’t have a problem with what I said, just the way I said it.
This one is my favorite
I suppose that he believes that making statements makes them true. Then because they are “true” he can use them to make a “logical” argument. Yes, I am still laughing, as well.
Even if I haven’t written for Tom Hanks, who cares? What does it matter? The only thing that would prove is Hanks has either not read my work, or has and is a bad judge of work. It doesn’t prove he is an intellectual, or anything else.
Typical left wing personal attacks. They just can’t take it when people speak out against them. Boo hoo!
Tom Hanks
Remember that Tom Hanks is the person who was banned by the Catholic Church from all Church property. His second installment of the blasphemous “Da Vinci Code” has offended so many that the Church finally acted. Hanks, also was the star of “Philadelphia” which was nothing but a vehicle to push for Homosexual norming.
He said:
“The election between Jefferson and Adams was filled with innuendo, lies, a bitter partisan press and disinformation,” said Tom Hanks, whose Playtone shingle produced “John Adams.” “How great we’ve come so far since then.”
Gee Tom, thanks but no thanks for your opinions.
It’s the message, stupid
The show was supposed to be void of politicking. That didn’t work. The usual suspects showed up and ran their political b.s.
The show was terrible. I couldn’t even watch most of it. It was dry, and had not tempo to it.
The awards say much about the attitude of the Hollywood collective. It’s dark, dank, offensive, and without any light what so ever. In other words out of touch with normal people.
I am still baffled how Paul Giammatti won for John Adams. Baffling. Ditto for Laura Linney (noted GOP hater).
“John Adams” star Laura Linney, who won for lead actress in a mini or movie, threw some support toward Obama, although not by name. Referencing recent Republican attacks on Obama’s stint as a community organizer, Linney said the miniseries made her “so grateful and thankful for the community organizers that helped form our country.”
Hey Laura, community organizers don’t run countries. Dumbass.
The author is another hater from the left.
“John Adams” scribe Kirk Ellis, who won for outstanding writing in a longform, also took a dig at the current campaign when he thanked HBO and Playtone execs for “this amazing opportunity to talk about a period in our history when articulate men articulated complex thoughts in complete sentences.”
Makes since that “John Adams” would win so many awards, if that is the attitude. It is, of course.
another clown speaks out
Ken Burns — he is a “documentarian” — has decided that he is now an expert on America. Why? Because he makes “documentaries about America …for PBS.
Burns, whose body of work has focused on American history, said that “in the whole history of the republic there has been no one with as thin as a credential” as Palin. He said it was, for McCain, a “Hail Mary pass” that will be decided in November.
Guess he has not read Obama’s Resume. Most likely he doesn’t care. Just another liberal hate monger.
Burns documentaries are terrible. Some of the most boring drivel I have ever seen. How he is able to get funding is beyond me. Must be the PBS shoveling him our tax dollars.
Bob Schieffer Gets it, not
So called newsman defends the attacks on Palin by the media .
Schieffer didn’t take a stand like Burns did, but he did defend the mainstream media’s coverage of Palin after she was named McCain’s running mate.
“Sarah Palin is a 72-year-old heartbeat away from the presidency. The presidency is the most powerful office in the world,” Schieffer said. “It seems to me that some would suggest we should just accept on faith that Sarah Palin is qualified.”
What a douche-bag. How about doing to Obama, what you are doing to Palin? Hmmm, Mr Super Newsman? funny you didn’t say anything about that. Another liberal liar.
