Is this aero-dynamic?

Guess what country the runner in front is from. Don’t read her chest, just guess the country. Yes, it’s a Muslim country. Bahrain. The caption from the BBC read: Bahrain’s Roqaya Al Ghasara wins her heat of the women’s 200m heats with Jamaica’s Kerron Stewart claiming third spot
She says it only makes her faster. Yea, uh-huh. Is that why Islamic states are such feared runners? Especially considering she made the Olympic team, twice!
“Wearing the hijab shows that there are no obstacles. I’ve set my best times wearing the hijab and even qualified for Osaka in it,” she said…
Hey Nike, where are your Hijabs, or Hijoobs? Aren’t you a World Citizen like Obama? How dare you not produce this garb, it’s only fair. We don’t want to give offense, now do we?
UPDATE: the Hijoob sports suit was created in Australia. Guess what company designed them? Yep, the makers of the Burquini. Seems she was not wearing a full Hijoob anyway
‘I hope that my wearing the hijood sports top will inspire other women to see that modesty or religious beliefs don’t have to be a barrier to participating in competitive sports.’
Seems like bending the rules is as common in Islamas it is in the Democrat party.
Challeging Stereotypes, or not
Reuters says she is “challenging stereotypes”. Some of the brainwashed followers at Belieftnet say it’s inspirational — read the comments, it’s like a Stepford comment section — and shows their liberation. Unreal.

What stereotype would that be? — you can fill in your own answer for that one– Hmmm? Maybe a Burka would have been a better choice. Just saying …
Would it be that Islam is backwards?
In 2004, Al Ghasara became the first Muslim woman from an Arabian country to compete at the Olympic Games.
Oh we definately need to get in on this.
“She’s always worn a veil and I knew that this was going to benefit her,” she told AAP.
I fee a fad coming on.
“She will feel like she’s half her weight.”
Sounds like cheating to me.

In the photo above Al-Gassra prays after winning her 200m sprint heat. Can you imagine the hatred that would lobbed at a Christian or Jew who did this?
et tu Egypt?
Yes, it’s not just runners wearing the trendy garb.

Those are two fencers from Egypt. Baseball in China, Fencing in Egypt; what’s the world coming to?
Somthing tells me the hardliners are not going to appreciate the attempt to “modernize” their Religion.
Its’ you, not the outfit
If you can’t see a women and NOT attack her, then you are the problem; not her.

Muslim modesty: head covering, crotch and ass outlining. Is allah great or what?
*lol* It does seem to make moot the point of modesty.
What is your problem? She’s not forcing other people to wear the thing. And as for her praying, how many times have we heard Christian atheletes giving thanks to Jesus?
MARK(owner): That’s not praying. The point being missed by you is that no one said anything. If a Jew of Christian did that they would be pilloried.
By the way, are you aware that Orthodox Jewish Women are required to cover their heads in a similar fashion?
MARK (owner): Yes dumbass, I am. The difference is they don’t have to cover up because it might make their men animals. MARRIED WOMEN COVER THEIR HAIR not their entire body. Oh yea, and the last time I checked Israeli women are NOT considered equal to animals, as they are in Islam.
Guess you missed that.
@3 It’s clear you don’t see the hypocrisy of the entire garment, or the Religion. Not suprised since you attend — or work at — The University of Utah.
did you say Utah…soon to be the Islamic State of Utah?
Sharia Alerts: Utah
It’s amazing the similarities.
I don’t agree with the LDS on many things, but never felt them a threat to the US. Now however it’s quite disturbing to see that in some ways they behave like Muslims, and worse seem to accomadate them at every turn.
First off, you missed the point that she is not forcing anyone else to wear the outfit. She seemed to have no problem racing with less covered females. Second of all, the fact that she was allowed to run, and in fact bore her country’s flag during the opening ceremonies shows that - at least in this case - women are not considered animals by Islam.
As for Orthodox Jews, they cover up for EXACTLY the same reasons as Muslims, to avoid tempting men. And while they don’t wear burkas, they do have to cover everything below the neck.
Anyway, this argument with you is pointless. If Muslims had not allowed women to compete, you would call them mysogonists, and when they are allowed you call them hypocrits. Apparently the very act of a muslim drawing breath is enough to upset you.
Muslims ARE Misogynists, and they ARE NOT called that. Sadly too many liberals are more than willing to pander to their backward idiocy. Again, last time I checked Muslim women are equal to livestock — in their view — and they are supposed to cover their entire body.
You miss the point that this outfit is ludicrous and once again exposes the hypocrisy of Islam and it’s supporters. Note again she is the first women from
a Musliman Arabian nation to compete in the Olympics (in 2004). Yes, such a forward thinking group.Oh, and who said she was forcing anyone to wear it. We are pointing out her — and Islam’s — hypocrisy.
She wasn’t the first woman from a muslim nation to compete in 2004. She was the first woman to compete covering her head.
North African muslim women have been competing since the 80s.
Thanks for pointing that out Rahma. I mistyped. I believe that Muslim women from non-Muslim — as in run by the “Religion of Peace” — countries have been competing as well.
