Shelley Malil has been arrested and is being held on $2 Million bond in the knife attack of his girlfriend here in Oceanside. He is being charged with attempted Murder.
Shelley Malil, 43, was taken into custody late Monday as he left a train in Oceanside, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said. He remained in custody on $2 million bail in San Diego’s Central Jail; his arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday.
He is accused of stabbing his girlfriend, Kendre Beebe. She was stabbed over 20 times. Neighbors report that he was chasing her around the yard with a knife. Hmmm, did anyone think to call the police?
The kids were there when the attack occurred. Neighbors rushed to her aid. One neighbor wrapped her in a blanket, and may have save her life.
Malil was apprehended in Oceanside at the Transit Center downtown, after exiting a southbound Amtrak. He was going to meet his attorney, it is believed. His family says they convinced him to surrender to authorities.
