Barbara Enright Wins “Ladies Only” event
Aug 6th, 2008 by Mark
Barbara Enright wins LIPS — Ladies International Poker Series – event at the Legends of Poker Series at the Bicycle Club. Enright finished 5th in 1994 at the Main Event after being felted by a horribly bad beat. She was the first and only women — to date — to make the final table of the World Series of Poker.
Because this event was held in California, they can’t hold a truly “ladies only” event. Yep, California is so screwed up that women are forced to allow men to play in their tournament.
John Vorhaus — Vorwhore — might be more appropriate, decided to play in the event in drag. He finished seventh. Grow up John, your stunts are getting annoying. Sadly Card Player Magazine has decided to feature him in next months issue, where he will write about his experience. Sad.
For those who don’t know, Vorhaus is a “writer” and has a fairly popular line of poker books. Killer Poker books by John Vorhaus and Tony Guerrera
