San Diego Foreclosure Sanctuary
Jul 24th, 2008 by Mark
The city of San Diego is at again. It seems that they are attempting to out Berkeley, Berkeley. San Diego, OK it’s that idiot Michael Aguirre — San Diego City Attorney — is suing Bank of America to stop them from engaging in their rightful business. Aguirre wants Bank of America to stop foreclosing on people who failed to live up to their end of the bargain. Unreal, what an idiot.
Specifically he is going after Countrywide. What seems odd is that they waited until BofA had control of Countrywide. Hmmm, seems awfully suspicious to me.
City Attorney Michael Aguirre said on Wednesday he filed a lawsuit against Bank of America Corp (BAC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and its Countrywide unit to prevent the mortgage lenders from foreclosing on homes in his city, which he aims to make a “foreclosure sanctuary.”
What an idiot.
Aguirre plans to file similar lawsuits against Washington Mutual Inc (WM.N: Quote, Profile, Research), Wells Fargo & Co (WFC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and Wachovia Corp (WB.N: Quote, Profile, Research) in an effort to make the lenders negotiate with mortgage borrowers facing foreclosure.
“We would like to see San Diego become a foreclosure sanctuary,” Aguirre said.
Dumbass.
Aguirre announced the lawsuit, filed in San Diego County Superior Court on Wednesday morning, at a news conference in front of an abandoned, fire-damaged house in a neighborhood hit hard by foreclosures.
Show-boating jackass.
Aguirre’s lawsuit, brought in the name of the people of California,
Hey dim bulb, you don’t represent the “people of California,” you barely represent the people of San Diego. The truth be told, he only represents his only selfish ego-maniacal interests.
“The Countrywide executives who originated these sub-prime loans were engaged in a massive fraud on homeowners, borrowers and investors,” Aguirre said. “They enriched themselves by over $1 billion.”
No, you fool; the homeowners didn’t keep their word. Stop blaming lenders for the stupidity of their customers.
