Rachel Silva’s Attorney PR blitz
Apr 1st, 2008 by Mark
Rachel Silva and her “mouthpiece” are on a full scale PR blitz. The bull-crap parade continues. Instead of addressing his client’s bad acts, he attempts to minimize them with the “well look what they did”. I am so tired of people who deflect from their own bad acts by saying “look over there at those evil doers”. This attorney is looking for a payday, and thinks he found the perfect “victim” to get it. Pathetic.
Shakedown Justice
Rachel Silva should be ashamed of herself. Granted if Silva had any shame she would not be drinking — or drugging — and driving, or driving on a suspended license. This attorney is a piece of garbage. Infuriating. He would make Jesse Jackson proud.
He demands that the cop make public statements when he knows damn well he would not allow his client to do that … and doesn’t. He does however get an NBC “reporter” to be used as a pawn in his pathetic PR session.
Video PR session
Watch the videos carefully, and remember that Rachel Silva says she remembers only her son saying he saw a gun, and being shot; but seems volunteer info all through the videos. Sadly she seems to know more than her attorney (he didn’t know that Officer White’s wife is a dispatcher with Carlsbad PD).
videos:
Interesting she can suddenly live with her mother, and her son is being taken care of by her ex-husband (the boy’s father — granted he was in Iraq — so he has an reason for not being around). Where was mom two weeks ago when Silva decided to flagrantly break the law and drive? Where was her sense of right and wrong then? We are supposed to side with her now? Suddenly she is a paragon of virtue?
My client is in shock
You could’ve fooled me. For someone in shock she seems to be having a good time. Sure doesn’t seem to be all that upset about things. Why does she keep looking at her attorney when ask what she remembers? Didn’t you and your “mouthpiece” gets this clear before you walked in? When ask what you know; you don’t recall. I can remember that.
At least the interviewer — as bad as he is — ask why she has not given a statement to police. The “mouthpiece” answered that she didn’t remember anything and that is what they would hear. He then says that the police have all they need. What? This guy is unreal. Then to give his case gravitas he declares OPD corrupt and that talking to them would be a waste of time, as they are only out to cover for a fellow cop.
The video is the smoking gun
The attorney sure seems to be worried about the video tape of the incident. He sure seems to not want her to talk to the cops. He even states that he doesn’t want her to say something that might be shown to be wrong later. No doubt some high priced legal talent there. On the other hand if she doesn’t remember then why is she answering the question about specifics?
Sorry, but this stinks to high heaven. Maybe the cop is out of line. How will we know with this circus-freak-sideshow going on?
Make up your own rules
Guess we can all ignore cops, and not talk to them IF OTHERS HAVE WITNESSED the event. Unreal. It seems clear that he doesn’t want her to have to plead the fifth.
Since when did the number of witnesses matter? It doesn’t, this is a ploy to bilk San Diego out of money and get her off the hook.
It’s clear that he is merely redirecting the investigation to take heat off his client.
Stop deflecting
The fact that Rachel Silva does not want to speak with police; speaks volumes about her motivation. Possibly her attorney’s motivation, as she may be being manipulated by him.
Her attorney and his desperate attempt to spin this as a corruption issue is sickening. The “mouthpiece” complains about “blaming the victim”, yet here he is using “guilt by association” to defame the OPD and the SDPD. Pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.
If there is any corruption or a ‘quid pro quo’ he is making it more difficult to uncover. I don’t trust him, or her. It’s clear he is out for money, and that’s it. She no doubt is looking to stay ouf of prison, where she belongs. He is playing the “victim” card and using her son as a human shield. Despicable.
If this attorney had a clue he would take the high road, give an interview to OPD. Then when they don’t charge White, go on the offensive. This idiot has it backwards. You don’t file a complaint with little information. Oh you think they have information? She doesn’t remember anything, how can he know what happened? Unless she knows more than she err he is letting us in on.
