UPDATE 3: Cop Shoots Mom 2 times

News is slowly being released about the “road rage” shooting incident. Word is that the officer fired 5 times. Two of the bullets hit the woman. How many hit the boy is unknown. Why any of this happened is unknown. As far as I know the women is still not talking.

The officer — San Diego Police Department — Frank White, 28 of Oceanside was driving with his wife — Carlsbad PD dispatcher — on Saturday Night March 15 when they some how ended up in a Lowe’s and confronted Rachel Silva — USMC wife from Camp Pendleton — and her son. Both Silva and her son were shot. Explanations are short in coming and long in the stench of cover-up.

Silva has a suspended license, and is currently awaiting trial for her 2d DUI. Her son was treated and release from Rady Children’s Hospital. She is in Sharp’s and expected to survive.

Silva has hired the attorney that defended former Charger Steve Foley who was also shot by an off-duty officer in 2006. He later plead guilty to DUI. The officer was never charged. Some people are not happy about that. The officer later when on to be honored by M.A.D.D. for making DUI arrests. He seems to be quite proficient at it. I guess it helps when you chase them down from outside the city you work in, to another city 30 miles away, also that you don’t work in, in your own personal vehicle.
