More Proof Education is overrated

Hillary Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea speaks — finally. After blowing off a child reporter a couple of weeks ago, suddenly Chelsea can speak.
Speaking at a Stanford event for the special people, Chelsea is suddenly very chatty.
Chelsea Clinton ‘01 fielded questions about her mother’s presidential bid last night before an audience of more than 100 young women packed on the floor of the Pi Beta Phi lounge.
Beyond the obvious attempt to manipulate students by her mother,
Campaign organizers reached out to sororities in an effort to target women, one of Hillary Clinton’s “core demographics,” according to Carolyn Forstein ‘10, an associate with the Clinton campaign in San Francisco and a member of Stanford Students for Hillary.
it is sad to listen to her and think she is a graduate of one of America’s “best” Universities. Even sadder is the fawning over her by some in the media and at Stanford.
“I’m overcome by nostalgia,” Clinton said. “I used to live in ZAP my sophomore year, so not that far away. Walking here from the library area was very reminiscent of late nights.”
“Nostalgia”? She “graduated” in 2001. “I used to live in ZAP my sophomore year” — unreal, this is how English language is used at Stanford? Are you not overcome WITH Nostalgia? Were her school years better than her White House years that she claimed to be the best of her life?
“We are just trying to make my mom’s campaign more accessible to people,”
What? Are robots or aliens (extra-terrestrial not illegal; we know the illegals vote) voting these days? Were they getting favored treatment? Did she suddenly wake up and realize that she is a cold heartless bitch? Or is it more likely that this is just another hollow political move? Yea that latter.
“We want to make sure that young people feel like the campaign is talking about issues that you care about and is delivering its plans and ideas in a way that resonates with you. “
In other words, we are going to lie to you so you vote for her mom; because pander is our strategy.
“When I was at Stanford I was constantly haranguing my friends to vote, and unfortunately so many of them actually didn’t vote,”
Stanford English professors are cringing right now. Most likely it’s good they did not “actually” vote. I much prefer them to pretend to vote.
“You don’t have that excuse any more in California. Voting actually started a week ago.”
What excuse? The election was held while you were there? Was it not timely enough? Is she admitting that she was a failure as a leader and now they can’t blame her anymore?
She addressed a series of questions about her mother’s campaign stances.
When your mom is knee deep in Obama whip-ass you suddenly can speak. Uh-huh. That doesn’t appear contrived.
“I can tell you what my mom said — that she would end the war tomorrow if she could,”
Even as President that is impossible. The war was over 5 years ago. It’s the Peace that is at issue. If she means the “war on terror”; then we are in trouble if she is elected. They won’t stop killing us.
But she said an immediate withdrawal was not fully feasible, as many troops have been killed in convoys. She said that her mother would take 60 days upon entering office to develop a plan to remove not only the troops but also American civilians stationed in Iraq.
So it would take 60 days to “develop a plan”? Bullcrap. What does “many troops have been killed in Convoys” have to do with cutting and running?
“[My mother] and Senator [John] Edwards are committed to universal healthcare,” she said. “Senator [Barack] Obama [D-Ill.] is committed to what we call ‘virtual’ universal healthcare which would make it an option for people to buy into the system. What my mother argues is that if you don’t mandate that everyone have healthcare, the healthy people may not buy into the system, which means that the average cost of insuring people is a lot higher.”
So let me get this straight; by adding all the healthy people the cost of Healthcare decreases? I think we heard that same line of BS on Car insurance. Notice how she did not attack John Edwards? Seems they are trying to win his support.
One student expressed concern about the Darfur genocide.
“I’m really proud that my mom was the first Democratic senator to call it a genocide in May of 2004 and put a lot of pressure on the Bush administration to recognize it as a genocide,” Clinton said.
Her mom wants a “more direct role” in Darfur. Great, like Somalia? This is the problem with Democrats they say what people want to hear so they can get elected. They are clueless about the real problems of America and the world.
Just another day of pandering by Hillary.
Nice to see others noticing this
