Darren McFadden will play in the Cotton Bowl tomorrow for Arkansas after the school said he would be eligible to play. McFadden was reported to have received a SUV from an agent by KARK in Arkansas.

It’s reported that the University “reviewed media reports” and issued a ruling. Excuse me? You reviewed the media reports and that was all you needed? How about we ask some questions? Let’s start with: how does a college student afford a Cadillac Escalade SUV (the current thug preference)?
KansasCity.com has more details. They say the University “conducted a thorough review” of the allegations. Yea, I am so sure.
KARK has issued an apology and said that some facts were not true. Hmm. Interesting. What I don’t get is why they put the word facts in quotes.
Almost before it was widely known, KARK issued a public apology, acknowledging that at least some of the “facts” as reported were not true.
At the time, the station’s news director also stated there might be “a thread of truth,” in the situation. The Arkansas statement rebutted even that.
Question still remains, how does a student athlete afford a Cadillac Escalade? No answers from anyone. Sounds fishy to me. A black athlete who is poor driving a thug-mobile, gee I wonder why someone questioned that.
Oh and who is paying for the gas? insurance? plates?

Interim Coach Defends McFadden
“Darren McFadden is a great, great, great person,” interim head coach Reggie Herring said Sunday. “He would never do anything to hurt the University of Arkansas or his teammates. You have to first understand that. As we go through this day and age of information, we have to sort it out. The only sad thing is that the sorting out makes it look like there’s something there.”
Coach should really keep his mouth shut. It’s not the sorting that’s the issue, it’s the stupidity of McFadden to be driving a thug-mobile right before a bowl game.

DALLAS - Arkansas star Darren McFadden said Saturday he fully expects to play in the Cotton Bowl after a television report raised questions about his eligibility. Arkansas television station KARK has since backed off the report, apologizing to McFadden and his family.
Maybe the fix was in, and he knew it.
