Rosie searching for sycophants

Seems to have found them at MSNBC.

UPDATE 2 : No deal for Rosie. Seems her big mouth cost her another job.
———————————————————————
MSNBC must think she can save the failing "news" outlet. Not likely. No doubt they will be on the Impeach Bush/Cheney Band Wagon soon.
———————————————————————–
UPDATE 1: I was correct. The NYT is reporting that MSNBC is moving even farther to the left. The NYT also admits that MSNBC is biased to the left.
Riding a ratings wave from “Countdown With Keith Olbermann,” a program that takes strong issue with the Bush administration, MSNBC is increasingly seeking to showcase its nighttime lineup as a welcome haven for viewers of a similar mind.
The NYT also takes shots at Fox News (the usually biased Right nonsense). They also give cover to Rosie for her wacky remarks on the view.
During the nine months she spent on “The View” before departing abruptly last spring, Ms. O’Donnell raised viewership notably. She did so while lamenting the unabated casualties of the Iraq war and advocating the right to gay marriage, among other positions.
She raised ratings (a bit) by being argumentative. Like all liberals the NYT thinks it’s her positions that are the driving force, they are not. Most people had never seen that side of her, so they didn’t really know what a nut job she was.
If she can’t handle the lightweight Hassleback, how can she take on real issues.
Just more proof that MSNBC and the NYT are marginal sources of news, at best.
—————————————————————————————
This is the typical ’preaching to the choir’ syndrome that the media has always engaged in. It’s like the boss hiring someone like himself, even though he’s a failure.
Dregs settling to the bottom of the cup. I can’t wait till she and Keith Olbermann get into it. Two giant egos with nothing to back them up with. This should be good.
Under one scenario, Ms. O’Donnell would be given the 9 p.m. slot each weeknight on MSNBC, where she would go head-to-head with two heavyweights of cable talk: “Larry King Live” on CNN and “Hannity & Colmes” on Fox News. Her show would replace “Live with Dan Abrams,” a relatively low-rated program that only recently replaced “Scarborough Country,” which was also little-watched.
The entire network is little watched. Scarborough country was not an MSNBC fav, he is an almost Conservative plying his trade in a hotbed of Socialism. Good luck with that! Oh, he is doing the morning show now as well.
As for heavyweights, well Larry King is hardly a heavyweight. H & C are pulling good ratings for a cable show. I see a train wreck coming.
But NBC executives, speaking on condition of anonymity because the conversations are continuing, cautioned that there were many elements of a potential deal yet to be resolved. These include when such a show would appear, what Ms. O’Donnell would be paid, and whether she would also be seen on the NBC broadcast network.
Translated he means: they have to work out the details of the Princess’ red carpet treatment, and how they can control her without having to put her on anything remote viewable on NBC. Olbermann is on the Sunday Night Football game, and is destroying it.
Remember this is the network that is not ashamed of it’s political leanings, and it out front with the propaganda parade of "Green" stupidity.

Yes, they decided to shove the "Green" movement down our throats. it also points out how ’in the dark’ they are about commerce, and football. Oh did you notice that the sponsor signs did not go dark? Hmmm.
They are clueless about sports fans, and they are clueless about the real world.
Other People discussing this
Dancing with Stars even bashes Bush. I think it was Brit, but none the less it is typical NBC.
Michelle Malkin is talking about it also.
