More Wildfire Follies

Motormouth Mike
For someone who is supposed to be the City Attorney, Mike Aguirre spends a lot of time acting like the Mayor. More precisely, a liberal promising the moon. He must have learned that from Eliot Spitzer.
So what is ol’ Mikey up to now? Mike Aguirre is complaining about the brush cutting program in San Diego or the lack thereof.
During a hastily arranged interview, Aguirre was critical of the city’s handling of the disaster and said the wildfires were “avoidable because they were fed by the fuel that wasn’t managed.”
Captain Obvious strikes again. Maybe Mike should go after the environmental nutballs who have outlawed brush management. Naw, no good press can come of that, and he would actually have to do something instead of bitching.
He released a 14-page report on the fires, calling for better brush management, more timely notification of residents in the event of an emergency, and the development of a citywide evacuation plan.
Shouldn’t you be prosecuting crimes, and writing memorandums of [insert Latin term here]? Why do you have time to come up with a report of 14 pages about the fires WHILE THEY ARE STILL BURNING? Oh, Mikey is always critical of the city council.
I think we lack a useful City Attorney.
City and county are on top of debris removal, Mikey not heard from on that front.
Calfire doing damage control
After blaming the Marines and Navy for not having the foresight to become experts in the CALFIRE bullcrap certification program — they were never invited, and were actively kept out previously — CALFIRE is desperately trying to stay relevant.
Marine Pilots to Train with CALFIRE bureaucrats
With training for pilots and crews, “we know we are going to be able to get a quicker response” if Marine helicopters are called in to assist on wildfires, said Mike Padilla, the state agency’s aviation chief.
The agreement could help clear up confusion over the availability of military aircraft and flight rules that left some Marine helicopters grounded early on in last week’s deadly blazes.
Bullcrap! The CALFIRE pencil pushers will find another way to protect their turf, next time. They did it this year, they did 4 years ago, they are doing it now. CALFIRE has blood on their hands, and they don’t care nor do they have any remorse. It’s not in the manual, so they won’t do it.
ACLU fighting for NOT Americans
The ACLU held a press conference today to complain that the reverse 911 system did not offer messages in Spanish. Well boo-hoo! Speak English.
A bigger problem in my opinion is tha the system did not even work in Ramona IN ENGLISH, never mind Spanish. Putzs.
They are also upset that illegals were arrested. They don’t like how the illegals were treated. Again, boo-hoo. SDPD said they are looking into, and the nutballs say they are fostering a climate of fear. And your point? Denied access to evac centers. huh? I think we all remember those tear jerker shots from the Q. Guess the ACLU doesn’t have a TV.
IRC officials also maintain that they received more than 12 complaints from people — including “persons of Mexican or Central American descent … an African American mother and a Filipino volunteer” — who thought they had been discriminated against by volunteers.
Well whooped de damn doo. 12! OMG the world will end tomorrow. Twelve out of 20,000. It’s an epidemic…of stupidity and nanny-state bullcrap. Go home if you don’t like it here.
Oh it gets worse.
Also in the report is a request by the organizations that in future, officials refrain from conducting ID checks when emergency supplies are being distributed; that, temporarily, immigration laws not be enforced at evacuation centers; that interpreters be made available at those sites; that local leaders make guarantees that all victims can access emergency assistance when necessary; and that a task force be formed to study the relevant issues and implement policies that all members of the community — victims, volunteers and law enforcement — would then be made aware of.
Yep you read that right. NOT ENFORCE THE LAW — not like it is anyway. It’s funny how they don’t mention that NO ONE was denied aid. The only people who were arrested were criminals STEALING THE RELIEF SUPPLIES. I believe IRC supplies. We don’t need any committees, just enforcement of the laws. Dumbasses.
Oh and we are not doing enough to wet-nurse the Spanish speaking segment here in San Diego. Speak English or get out.
Oh and the spokes-chic for the ACLU? Check out the name.

Now why would the ACLU trot out a “latina” at this time? Hmmm I wonder! Pandering? Yes!
And last but not least, they are saying Police blocked the media access to fires. The ACLU and left nutballs are claiming that the media can do what it damn well pleases.
This is the same ACLU that feels that the media can not be trusted.
