Day 4 — Evening update
Oct 24th, 2007 by Mark
Things are looking up
Went out for a haircut today, Yea, yea, yea; I’m vain. It was nice to be out among some people.
Was actually able to see the sky, and a sunset. Nice.
Took a few pics and will try and get them up soon.
Was able to keep the windows open most of the afternoon. Really needed that, since we live on the beach we don’t have A/C.
Once again I want to point out how SD dealt with this catastrophe. UT article on the “can do” attitude of SD
“This is the best of San Diego,” Sanders said. “This is where we take care of each other.”
Compare this to New Orleans and their “government should take care of us” attitude. Makes you wonder why the authors don’t mention Katrina comparison when they talk about the giving in the community. No, it doesn’t; just rhetorical.
Other resources on the fires
