One Billion Sucked Out of America by Mexico
Oct 19th, 2007 by Mark
All this jibber-jabber about Mexicans “helping” our economy is bullcrap. Mexicans sucked out $1 Billion out of San Diego alone. Someone tell me how that is a good thing?
WASHINGTON – The amount of money that workers in San Diego County send to Mexico has ballooned – reaching $1.1 billion last year from $800 million in 2004, according to a new estimate by the World Bank.
That was in 2004, what is it today? 2 Billion?
Experts expressed surprise at the magnitude of the money transfers, but they said the amount still represents a fraction of both economies.
Experts, what dumbasses. How can you (an expert) be surprised by this unless you are a complete idiot. I like how they don’t quote any “experts” about this, but just tell us that it’s a small effect. Let’s think about it. Mexico(n) is sucking out of our (San Diego County) economy $1 Billion dollars per year, that could be used here in the county — instead of Mexico.
Assume that $1 Billion stayed in San Diego county. There are 3 million people living here, that means $333.34 leaves the county for every person here. There are 1 million households, that means almost $1000 per household leaves.
If the money was only used in one transaction that year, that is $8,000,000 in tax revenue for only one transaction. Economists will tell you that it won’t be just one transaction.
Banks in San Diego lose $1 Billion in capital PER YEAR. $1 Billion is spent in Mexico(n) instead of San Diego.
Businesses would see an infusion of $1 Billion in revenue. In one year we could have seen an increase in GDP of $1 Billion, instead we see a lose, on top of the cost to our economy by those who are here illegally and account for most of the money going out of the country.
The multiplier effect when applied to this $1 Billion means that we could be losing up to a Trillion dollars in benefit. Now I don’t believe it would be that high, However over the lifetime of an illegal immigrant it is quite possible that one person could cost this economy (San Diego) close to 10 million in economic gain. That does not even account for the money they cost us for services they use but for which they do not pay.
The question now is how much have we lost due to payments to Mexico? I would dare say, how many Trillions? It’s not a trivial number, as the article portends. If it’s such a small number then why is the Mexican government teaching their people to invade the US? They spent a lot of money and time to teach people how to get here, so it’s clearly not trivial.
I don’t expect to see all of the transfers disappear, however if we were stopping the flow of people from Mexico — thus stopping the flow of dollars back to Mexico — then Mexico would be using it’s own labor to build it’s own country instead of bleeding us dry. On top of that we would be able to remove people from the welfare roles and abolish the income tax. All things the Democrats don’t want.

An increase from .8 to 1.1 billion in three years. Seems just about right. Not exactly sure why this upsets you so much.
Just think naive Californians how much more resources would be available to save your homes if only we weren’t providing so many free and discount services for our “non-citizen” community!
Exactly!
