If you needed it, here is more proof that the Nobel Prize is a joke.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 is to be shared, in two equal parts, between the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.
The name should be changed to the Nobel Prize for Propaganda.
Remember how the Nobel Prize was supposed to signal the end of the conflict in the middle East in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s? Yea, wrong then, wrong now.
I wonder how Jimmy Carter feels about Gore being “elevated” to his level? Two huge egos attached to fools. Great.

We are gratified by the awarding of this prestigious award to Al Gore. It confirms our judgment of the man, his principles, vision, experience, efforts — as well as promise. He is in a unique position not only to lead our country, but to make America once again an agent for peace in the world.
No it merely means you are fellow travelers, not intellectuals of any order. Why are they gratified by this? What did they do?
This award will only add to the tremendous tidal wave of
support for Al Gore and the growing demands that he become a candidate
for President in 2008.

He is in a unique position to make a difference in the world on the one issue he believes to be the most important of our times.

2003 - An Iranian women who suffers under the regime Jimmy Carter helped to create wins the award. Not sure what she really did other than be born in Iran and become a lawyer of some notoriety. Oh wait, I found it. She worked for UNICEF. She also wrote a book about the rights of women. Since she lives in Iran that should be about a page and a half. I wonder is she has any good feelings about getting an award that was given to Jimmy Carter, who is directly responsible for the country she lives in?
2002 - Jimmy Carter. This is the funniest one of all. He caused the Middle East crisis in Iraq and Iran; and keeps on being rewarded for it. That and his ridiculously showy displays of liberal hubris that he calls charity are disgusting to any right-minded individual.
2001 - the UN and Kofi Anan - another anti-American who is inept and corrupt. Seems a trend with these awards.

1984 - Desmond Tutu - open borders advocate and anti-American. This pick is a home run for the Nobel. He’s black, a Bishop, and says the right things; such as “racial equality”, and Socialism.
1983 - Lech Walesa - a Socialist and Unionist who was a “leader” of the Polish “revolution”. Just trading local Socialism for Distant Communism.
1977 - Amnesty International - defenders of criminals everywhere, and anti-death penalty. They side with terrorists and against the US, always.
Anyone noted how people who are weak and do nothing but talk, keep wining these awards? Also note that Henry Kissinger won, as did Mother Theresa.
Those who did not win? Ronald Reagan, Israeli Defense forces, the US Military, any organization from the US that was not Socialist or anti-American, anyone willing to fight for what is right.
The committee loves to hand out awards to people having nothing to do with Peace. The Red Cross has won numerous awards, even though they are merely an aid organization.
