Yes the mayor who sat in line for an iPhone while his city was crumbing, is again showing how incompetent is he.

Fireworks cancelled in Philly, or not

Here is video of Philly fireworks for those the Mayor screwed.

One woman, who waited for more than 12 hours in the rain, said she was forced to leave the area by police officers who informed her the show had been cancelled for “safety reasons.” The woman said she was “surprised” and extremely “upset” after arriving home only to learn the show still went on.

The Mayor of course is in the know.

A spokesman for the Philadelphia Mayor’s office contends the city did not cancel the show. Joe Grace said they told spectators to leave the parkway for public safety reasons, but “they were never cancelled.”

So the show was not cancelled, you merely kicked people out for their safety? You then had the show go forward knowing that no one was their to see it?

Grace said because of localized flooding and lightning, they decided the show would go on for the television viewing audience only.

Even more daft is that this idiot thinks that excuse will fly. Must be a liberal. If it’s not safe for people to be at the show, then it’s not safe to put it on.

Oops, the Police have a different story.

On the contrary, Philadelphia police sources working the show said they were informed the display had been cancelled and were under a directive to have spectators clear the Ben Franklin Parkway viewing area.

No doubt the Mayor was too busy trying to get service on his iPhone to handle his job. Maybe the Mayor can read about this on his iPhone. Oh wait, no he can’t, it doesn’t get RSS feeds.
