Joey’s Sister Responds

First of all, I am not happy that Joey is dead, nor do I revel in his demise. Secondly; I am talking about it, because it happened in Vegas, it’s odd, and Metro appears to be less than forthcoming.
I have no way of confirming if this is, or is not Joey’s sister responding to my post about Joey Gene Deom. I will let you my dear readers decide. It appears the commenter is from Vegas.
This is Joey’s Sister and im going to tell you something about my brother, He did’nt Have Numerous Run ins with the law only traffic tickets he has alot of them but who does’nt when they are young?
Well that would depend upon the type of tickets he received. If he is a street racer, then it’s defiantly “run-ins with the law.” If he merely drives a lot, and gets tickets due to mileage, well maybe not so much.
Also many “traffic tickets” are other charges plead down to a citation.
As for lots of tickets while you are young; no, not “everyone” has lots of tickets. Most young drivers DON’T have a “lot of them”.
Also, just because you have not been arrested, does not make you a pure person. Many people have run-ins with the law, and are not arrested, or cited.
my brother was a great person. He was a wonderful father and a outstanding brother.
He might be, we have no way of truly knowing.
He did have bad taste in women, and im going to tell you right now that his ex girlfriend and her new boyfriend did this to him.
Interesting. So he had bad taste in women, which usually means “run-ins with the law.”
If they (his ex and her current boyfriend) did him in, then the question is why? If that is the type of people they are, then it reflects badly upon him.

It would only bother me, if it were NOT the truth. If it were not the truth, then I would go on a full scale offensive against LVMPD. However, it seems that he was not the ‘good boy’ claimed.

Because your brother who you claimed to be perfect was murdered, placed in a stolen car, and then inside a stolen trailer. That alone is enough to bring about attention.
I don’t quite understand her anger at me, I was criticizing LVMPD for their comments. I don’t want anyone to be murdered, and I do feel badly for her family. However, the situation is news-worhty, which makes it comment-worthy as well.
I want to know the truth. My guess is that is lays somewhere between the two extremes we are hearing now. If anyone has information on the ex-girlfriend or boyfriend please contact me. I would like to talk to them.

I really find myself reflecting on your little site here, and find your comments to be provoking, and agrumentive. If you do not have anything to say other than pure gossip and speculation then you are certainly not doing any service to anyone except perhaps to feed your selfish needs, to intrude into a very sacred area!which doesn’t compliment your communication skills. Which really is kinda strange since you have started a little chat area here that you would have some manners and respect for the dead…. and those left behind to grieve his passing. Care to enlighten us as to how I am being disrespectiful to the dead? Just from his “sister’s” remarks it’s clear that he was not the little angel she portrays.

Wow! he died at 25, and that’s too early. Duh. He also wound up in a trunk of a car inside of a trailer; both stolen and one belonging to a cop. Gee, I wonder why I chose to discuss it? Oh yeah, because cops lately (especially LVMPD) tend to be a bit suspect; or the fact that no one ends life this way unless they are into something dirty? Actually it was both.
Could it be wrong place wrong time? Yes, but not likely.
Relatives tend to be blind to their own family short-comings, especially the dead. I don’t buy the little angel bull, and no thinking individual does either. I also don’t buy Metro’s line either. Guess you missed that? Next time put aside your personal feelings and actually read what I wrote.

Who in the hell are you, little mister Mark, thinking that you can sit here and pass judgement on somebody you have no idea about except for what you read in the news. Since when is the news the Holy Grail of truth? You have some nerve talking the way you have to Joey’s sister like that. You obviously have never had to deal with something like this first hand, or else you would have somewhat of a heart and be sympathetic to those who are grieving. Regardless whether or not someone is “perfect”, nobody deserves a death like this. I cannot believe the amount of disrespect that you have shown towards the family. It is so pathetic that somebody so cold-hearted has to post some bullshit remarks about a loved one and try to argue with a grieving sister about her brother. You need to get a life and leave people to grieve in peace, instead of provoking an argument with them, and try to make them think that the person they lost is a bad person. You are no different than the murderers in the sense that you have no heart, no remorse, and no decency as a human being. Get a new fucking job asshole!!!
To whom it may concern; I once knew Joey, back in the good ole days. First I just want to to say how shocking and disturbing this news is. My heart goes out to his son his friends and his family. He was very well liked and had such a huge heart. I would like to comment on him being “a perfect angel” cause what we get no respect if we are murdered and we have had a few “run ins” or what? His “run ins” where in fact just simple “run ins” nothing serious or dangerous. and compared to what the other young people were out doing back when “we”were young we were all Angels!! First of all, I can verify that the person that claims that she is Joey’s sister is indeed who she says she is. I am his cousin and I have been grieving with the rest of my family. I think that this is whole website and the comments you make are pathetic and disrespectful. For you to argue your point with Angie(Joey’s sister), is completely uncalled for. It seems to me that you are some fat computer nerd that likes to pour salt into other people wounds. I am outraged. Nobody even said that Joey was an angel. I can tell you myself that he was not perfect. No one is. Especially you! Joey was however, a genuinely loving individual. He would do anything for anyone. That if you must know, is the reason why he is not still with us today. I am actually the one who called channel 13 to dispute what they said about his ” numerous run-ins with the law.” I happen to know that these “run-ins” were minor traffic violations. If he did have any serious charges than he would alive and in jail, not a victim of a brutal murder. I am not going to discuss the details of what actually happened to my innocent cousin, due to the ongoing investigation, nor would I give you the satisfaction. However I can assure you that your suspicions are completely unfounded and extremely disrespectful. I am so glad that his mother is not even interested in looking at the internet due to her grief, because she might come across a heartless, “wanna-be” journalist who is just looking to stir up drama for a hit on his website. The least that you could do is apologize to the family(including myself)and quit putting your big nose where it doesn’t belong!!!

Karma is bullshit.
I find it odd that so many are so easily outraged and have to resort to angry, bordering on violent outbursts to defend someone who is clearly NOT what they say he is.
Some people are not telling the whole story. It is also clear that something was going on, that some don’t want to discuss. Those same people resort to insults, and childish outbursts instead of reasoned debate.

Like I said in my previous comment, WHO CARES about if he had run-ins with the law?!?
He was brutally murdered! And the details of drugs, and cops, and his prior records are really useless now to all the friends and family now mourning the loss of their loved one.
The fact is, AN INNOCENT MAN WAS MURDERED! No one should have to bury their own child! Or have to identify there murdered son! I understand this forum is about posting your opinions. But its another thing to intentionally offend the family, No ones perfect, but of course Angela will see her brother that way. As would I if I was in her shoes.

You know the more time that goes by the harder it is getting to actually believe that this is all true, and that I will never ever see Joey again or Terry for that matter. For those of you who do not know, Terry was Bridgett’s ex-boyfriend who was found on September 21 I believe hanging from his home workout thing, I don’t know what you call it. Terry was a very close friend of mine. He always had my back and he never watched me be treated unfairly and I miss him as I do and will miss Joey. Everywhere I go reminds me of him because I live on the eastside of town and we rode our bikes everywhere especially on the east side. I have one thing from Joey that Bridgett can never take from me and she’s mine, and Joey’s. This isn’t over for me cause years down the line I will have to explain this all to her and for that I truly hate you Bridgett. Who was once an acquaintance of mine but never did I ever trust her, there was something about her. Me and her ex Terry were closer than her and I were because when I meet certain people I click with them but never have I really clicked with foul *** unworthy people~!~ I love you to all of Joey’s family and I feel for Paula. I know he was your baby and I miss the fun times we all had that had Joey in them. I will never forget him, I haven’t been able to and I’m sure I won’t be able to. I think at this point we are all just fueling Mark’s fire. The more we try to convince him what a wonderful person Joey was and is in our memory, the more he tears Joey down, engaging Mark’s ego on here is counter productive. On my myspace I have a photo up of Joey and my friends and I write him, maybe its our way of not letting go or getting to say what we wish we could have. I don’t know how, but I will check into it, we should start a site just for the memories Joey has left us with. He taught me to drive, changed Christina’s brakes, gave Amanda some very precious gifts and memories, and his family has so many more… Joey doesn’t need defending, we know the truth. No family should have to defend their loved one to a stranger who’s obviously never really lived or truely loved a day in his life.

I am not a family member and only a friend to those who new Joey. I am certainly appalled that anyone would spend time disgracing the dead. The facts speak the truth in court, not on this website. I doubt there is anyone who knows the real truth, except for Joey. We could spend all day debating Joey’s character; however, it isn’t Joey’s character on trail it is that of the two selfish people that chose to end Joey’s life. Mark as for your comments, my grandfather was a wise man. I listened intently and followed much of what he taught me… The one thing that has always remained embedded in my thoughts are this… “You can tell the intelligence of a man by the way they speak!” Be slow to judge and quick to admit when you are wrong, because it is not the mistakes that we make that define who we are, but the way we react to them. Your initial comments about Joey seem to not be totally accurate, but a simple apology to the family sure would go a long way in a time where nothing makes sense to them any longer.

It is his friends who are disgracing him. By refusing to learn from his mistakes, and continue to lie about his life; you dishonor him and his memory. You also do no favor to those around him, like his son who needs to learn TO NOT BE LIKE HIS FATHER.
As for the last half of your comment Chrisi, you should not mix metaphors. Oh and your granddad was wrong. Many intelligent persons are not well-spoken. The assumption that an education (how you become well-spoken) makes you intelligent therefore wise is flawed and based upon classicism. That’s akin to racism, only based upon an education which until recently was only availible to the rich and white.

I believe we have learned a valuable lesson about the scum Joey entertained in his life, if he did anything wrong, it was only that he tried to help these people and lost his life in the process.
