Dead in a car inside a trailer belonging to a cop.
Jun 26th, 2007 by Mark
Oh boy, here we go again possibly. Murder, body found, cop maybe involved.
LVMPD has found a body shot multiple times. Now there is nothing really new about that, it’s where it was found that is odd.
They say the body of 25-year-old Joey Gene Deom was found in the trunk of a stolen car that was left inside a stolen trailer.
Lot of effort for one person. Hmm maybe the killer had help. Why hide the body like this? Even more odd, why hide it in an apartment complex? Oh yeah, not kidding.
The owner of the trailer had just moved to Vegas, and his trailer was stolen. Everything he owned was in it. So whenever he was out, he would look for the trailer.
Sgt. Bill Scott, Metro Homicide, said, “The actual owner of the trailer was a police recruit. He’s in the actual Metro Academy right now.”
They had just moved to Las Vegas and everything they owned was in the trailer. So when it was stolen, the new police recruit was determined to find it.
Sgt. Scott continued, “He was riding on US_95 and one of the passengers in the car with him spotted the trailer in an apartment complex. The Quail Tree apartments.”
But nothing was in there except a white Acura that didn’t belong to him.
Now whoever this master criminal is, must surely feel pretty stupid right about now; or he is feeling good that his plan worked. Why the hell do you park a stolen trailer in a complex that is viewable from the 95 and put the trailer in plain view unless you are stupid; or want it found.
Sgt. Scott’s unit now identifies that deceased male as 25-year-old Joey Deom who was shot to death and stuffed in the trunk of a stolen Acura.
“He was 6′3″, 200 pounds, and if anybody has seen an Acura Legend, the trunk is really small. So, to kind of shove a human being in the trunk of a car that small and just… the violence of the crime, to me, was just dehumanizing,” said Sgt. Scott.
In the trunk of a stolen car parked inside a stolen trailer. Hmmm, I am thinking that maybe the time honored hole in the dessert would have been less conspicuous. Then again maybe being inconspicuous was not a goal here?
Police are still investigating a possible suspect and motive, and they are considering everything from drugs to domestic violence.
Fortunately, the crime scene was riddled with evidence
OK so the master criminal theory is out. My money is on drugs. It’s a big problem in the valley, especially Meth. Lot of violence associated with Meth in the valley.
What strikes me as odd, is this comment by Sgt Scott.
Sgt. Scott continued, “People that do crimes of this nature think that they’re being a little bit slick, but we have some great detectives who — and some great CSI personnel — actually gathered this evidence and put the whole story together.”
He seems to say whoever did this is an idiot, and the super-detectives along with CSI (kudos to Grissom and crew, for those of you who don’t know CSI is based upon the Metro forensic team) put the puzzle together and will soon be dispensing justice. Well which is: criminal clowns or justice geniuses?
Police also say the victim, Joey Deom, has been in trouble with the law numerous times in the past.
The family disputes those charges. They say he hasn’t faced anything more than traffic tickets.
Hmm, interesting. could this be another example of LVMPD over playing a crime? Or are the family members unwilling to admit the truth about Joey? What I find odd is they [MARK:LVMPD, not the family] don’t back up their assertion with any facts. Hmm.

LIVE BY THE SWORD, DIE BY THE SWORD
DRUGS, CRIME, IF THATS THE LIFE YOU CHOOSE, YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO ACCEPT THE CONSENQUENCES
I knew Joey, he was always helpful and considerate. He didn’t get into any serious trouble and gave people too much credit. He didn’t like meth, and tried to get his ex-girlfriend to quit, she told him she had quit, otherwise he wouldn’t have been there to see her.
Nobody is perfect, but Joey was a very good person, whose life was cut short. There is no reasoning for this crime, he wasn’t a drugy or domestically violent, he just cared too much for the wrong girl.
His family is in a lot of pain, his friends are in a lot of pain, the world for us, family/friends is a much colder place now.
Thanks Candice. Sorry for your loss.
I have known joey for a really long time and am really good friends with his family, and i cant say that i knew his ex girl but i know what she did to him was extremly brutal even if she did not pull the trigger she is an accomplise and should pay for what happened and i hope she carries alot of guilt around with her.Nobody deserves that. His family and friends are in huge grief.May you rest in peace joey,You will always be loved and never forgotten.
Joey was my best friend .We go back since the forth grade.
I knew Joey very well ,and all of his family.
Joey had a heart of gold .He would give you the shirt off his back ,
if you needed it. he was a confident good lookin young dude.
although he had amazing talents he was easily influenced.
especially by females.Once he had his heart set on a girl
there was no turning back,Unfortunatly this one in particular,
was evil.It all revolves around low life dopers who have no respect
for human life ,Joey wasn’t one of those.Ten years ago I would have allready performed street justice. As I know he would have done for me! I hope that the justice system shows these killers no leniancy, NO MERCY for this cold blooded act, then I hope they burn in hell after they think about what they did for the rest of there pathetic waste of a life
I also was a friend of Joey. Granted we hadn’t spoken in a few years, I sure will ocntest to what Angie, and Jason said he had a heart of gold, and no matter what “scene” he was in his son does not deserve to grow up fatherless, and his mom, sister, brother, cousins, and family should not have to defend his actions! He was brutally murdered!! Regarless of what happen before, or during, its not right for the news, or anyone else for that matter to make judgements in a sitatuon they know VERY little about!!
Haven’t we ever heard about RESPECT FOR THE DEACESED!!!??
The birds of a feather statment, CMON NOW!! HAven’t we all been around people who were no good for us at one time or another?!?! Does that mean its justifiable?! HELL NO!!
This shouldn’t be about arguing over the crowd he hung with, or if he was “in trouble with the law” previously. It has to do with the respect and mourning that now this whole family has to deal with. People who knew Joey, and who he was inside, will miss him dearly. I know I sure will.
R.I.P. fubu (now Jason, I know you remember when we called him that) I am so sorry to all of the Deom family. My prayers are with you all!
Okay I have known Joey since we were both 15 and I was also friends with Bridgett since I was 19. I am now 25. I knew both of them very well. Never did he ever deserve to be murdered. He would never let anyone hurt me even if he was mad. The fact that Bridgett would let anyone hurt him is cold blooded. The man Bridgett was seeing before Joey also died in a supposed suicide. I was very close to this person also and I am even more sure now that he didn’t take his own life. She had a tpo supposedly, but I tried to find it online and didn’t succeed. Whether it is in another district, or court like North Las Vegas. I don’t know. But still like Dyanna said all it takes is for you to pick up the phone, don’t answer your door, and call 311 or even 911. But she didn’t choose to do this even though her son was home there with her she let him be shot and murdered and cleaned up the scene with a paper towel. Cold Blooded is all I can think about. I won’t make this a memorial post and post all of my special memories, but I tell you this Joey wasn’t murdered over a bunk drug deal, he was murdered over love and that is wrong. I’m sure Bridgett knew he was coming over so I would assume it was a cold set up. Joey was no druggie, he did have a heart of gold and two people took that from his son, family and so much more. More than anyone will know. I hope that Bridgett doesn’t get off on this one because she has already gotten away with one. I hope they make an example out of her she might as well have shot him herself~!~
Whoever you are small fry, I agree with you completly. Why isn’t anyone bringing up the fact of the “suicide” of her last boyfriend??
There are way too many things wrong with that situation for it to have been a suicide. If Brigett gets off by putting everything on the other party, then that just proves how FUCKED our justice system is.
A plea bargin is unacceptable in this sitation Brigett deserves to go down she is just as guilty!!
Anyone know who the boyfriend that supposedly killed himself is?
Anyone have the names any of her ex’s?

Actually, Not only did Terry “kill hiself” the father of her son, Was murdered too, And chopped into little pieces! WONDER IF THE FUCKIN COPS ARE GOING TO BRING THAT UP????? MY LITTLE BROTHER WAS STOLEN FROM ME!!! BRIDGETTE “CUNT” CORDOVA TOOK MY DAUGHTERS UNCLE FROM HER! I HOPE THAT BITCH ROTTS!!!!!!! IN HELL FOR THE PAIN SHE HAS CAUSED MY FAMILY AND JOEY’S FRIENDS!!
P.S SHE TOOK MORE THAN THAT FROM US! SHE STOLE MY NEPHEWS DADDY FROM HIM AND FOR THAT SHE NEEDS TO BE HUNG FROM A TREE AND SPIT ON UNTIL SHE DIES FROM STARVATION!!!!!!!!
I believe Angie is right. Though I knew Bridgett we never spoke of her son’s dad because I only seen her with her son 1 time in the 4-5 years i knew her. I feel for his family and I know he had alot of people that loved him he was a very loveable and likeable person. Confident young dude that was very outgoing and he was not a foul ass druggie like the girl he fell for. Angie, I know this is going to take a real long time to get over, for me also. I can not imagine your pain. I was checking my voicemails today and someone called me from this number they wanted me to call them back and it started with 325. Instantly I was thinking of Joey. 325, 425, I know you remember. I never thought that he wouldn’t be around because ever since we broke up and he moved back from Wyoming, he has always been around in the crowd. This could have easily happened to me, or anyone else that we knew in “our crowd”. But never ever would I have thought that someone as sweet, beautiful and pure as Joey, would be the one to fall victim. Joey fought for the things he believed in and for the people he loved and that is his only mistake~!~ To the Deom’s and family, I love you all and you know where I am at if you EVER need anything. I would really like to see you Angie, and your mom, but if I know your mom and I believe I do, she won’t be up for it for a very long time. And I really don’t think I would be able to handle it either. Angie get ahold of me at Iwazur1nonly@aim.com
I know who you are now.
325, 425.
I remember that so well.
O man. Angie, I am so so sorry you have to deal with this.
So I was just wondering Mark are you going to paint a picture on Bridgett Cordova? I mean all the info is there. And I am sure if you ask for more info it can and will become available~!~
“paint a picture on Bridgett Cordova” — what are you on about?
interesting how lots of people here love to brag about how much they know, yet never post anything.
Closing comments. Tired of the same thing being repeated by those who choose to ignore the truth.
