Google is, as Google does

Once again Google has decided that it is the arbiter of all things social. However this time even the vaunted EFF is not happy with them, and their liberal buddies are in a tizzy also.
Privacy advocates counter that it also provides offensively candid glimpses of people unwittingly photographed while going about their daily lives.
In a surreptitious manner, and unknowingly photographed. It won’t be long till cities or businesses start putting up barriers that will no doubt become advertisements.
“What Google does is not illegal, but irresponsible,” said Rebecca Jeschke of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a US non-profit group dedicated to defending Internet freedom and privacy.
Google just keeps pissing people off.
“Google Street View technology has been an intrusion of privacy to many people captured in their pictures. They could have waited until they developed technology that would allow them to obscure peoples’ faces.”
You have to wonder if these guys live in the real world?
What caused all of this? “Street View”. Google’s new money making venture that is invading privacy and pissing off lots of people. It is being followed by Everyscape which is doing the same thing as “Street View” only adding more content to the pics.
Seems only Drudge can get them to act.
Miami abortion clinic director Elaine Diamond is troubled by a Google Maps picture showing protesters outside the facility.
“I wish they would replace it,” Diamond said. “I couldn’t contact them. I tried quickly. It’s not easy.”
The pic below was removed after being prominently displace on the Drudge Report.

I am no fan of Google, and have routinely called them on their evil ways. Nice to see others waking up as well.
As for the woman above, I don’t feel much sympathy. If you wear pants that don’t fit (trendy jeans no doubt) and you wear a thong (again trendy) you can’t complain when you poor choices are exposed to public ridicule.
Does “street view” bother me? Not really. I don’t live in a city that will targeted. So personally it does not affect me. However on a National Security level it is disturbing.
This is just another in a long line of Googlidiocy. They never consider the consequences of their actions, they just want to enrich their coffers with more lucre. Ironic that they claim to be so liberal and yet act like ravenous dogs when it comes to information and money. Oh wait, that is the typical liberal.
