Spam attack by terrorists?
Jun 2nd, 2007 by Mark
It seems clear that the person doing the spamming hates Christians. Or is this a dry run to see if they can break into Google Groups. Seems they can.
Oh who is doing it? Well you take a guess. This is the listing for the group.

It appears that this group was shut down earlier this am. I presume by Google. I am not a big fan of Google, however this time they seem to have done something right.
It appears that the group exploited the “Group Manager Add” setting that is the default on most accounts. This needs to be addressed by Google immediately. Especially for accounts created by Google when they bought a service, or someone moved their mail-list to Google Groups.
I am sure they are in violation of the privacy laws in most countries having accounts set up like this. I also resent having my account (from blogger) automatically attached to an email list that was moved just because I have an account with Google, and am on that mail-list.
Google had best wake up. They are not above the law, or the wrath of the users.
NOTE: for those who have a Google Groups account, change the setting for “Group Manager Adding”.

I am glad that my ideas, and beliefs don’t drive me to such desperate acts of hate. Even sadder is that they are most likely impressed with themselves and feel they are responding to a higher calling.
Without looking at the group, most would just assume it was an ordinary spam attack.
