As I pointed out earlier in my article about Danish Lawmakers being arrested for thought crimes; thanks to Democrats we in America are headed the direction of hate crimes as well.

The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 1592) would expand the federal definition of hate crimes to include violence against a person because of his or her “actual or perceived” sexual orientation or “gender identity.”

Under the bill, people who attack others out of “hatred” for their race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability would be committing a federal offense.

This is of course nothing but pandering to the radical base of the Democratic party. It also clearly points out the hatred and self loathing of the Party.

The fact is that these laws are a waste of time. It doesn’t matter what the reason is for attacking; it’s the attack that matters. As with all liberals they don’t care about the actual crime, they only care about getting elected.

To wit:

Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Calif.) asked for a definition of the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” but Democrats rejected the idea.

Now why would lawmakers leave out a definition? This is critical to a law. It would also seem they are trying to make it expansive enough to include most any idea, or activity. It also makes unconstitutional (overly vague), I believe. However by the time it winds it way to the Supreme court the Dems no doubt believe they will have retaken the White House and secured a larger majority in both house due to the help of the special interests to whom they are pandering. I thought the Dems were going to be “different”. Remember, no pandering to special interests? I remember them saying that.

Something to think about: since Democrats want to give the right to vote back to felons is this law a way to get more Democratic voters? (think about how they handle the invasion of our country by Mexicans). Also, why have a crime that has in essence no punishment? (Democrats routinely give out lenient sentences for violent crimes and allow murderers to walk free after multiple murders. Final thought, if someone attacks a Christian, Heterosexual, or White person is it still a hate crime? Most likely not. See the problem, yet?
