Gore’s Hypocrisy

Gore gets gored
Hollywood loves this guy because he is just like them. They lie for a living, he lies for a living. They can relate to him, they have a bond. His movie is a work of fiction, their movies are works of fiction. His life is a work of fiction, their lives are works of fiction. They honestly believe, as he does that fame equates to wisdom.
In the world of the left/Hollywood, the only thing that matters is your next part. Hollywood takes on roles for “causes” just like they take on roles for movies. They honestly feel they are the same. It’s just another part. Al Gore seems to be getting that attitude also.
Back home in Tennessee, safely ensconced in his suburban Nashville home, Vice President Al Gore is no doubt basking in the Oscar awarded to “An Inconvenient Truth,” the documentary he inspired and in which he starred. But a local free-market think tank is trying to make that very home emblematic of what it deems Gore’s environmental hypocrisy.
The fact that the movie is a complete fabrication seems to miss most people. The fact that the only people pushing this agenda are those opposed to Capitalism. Why do you think Mikhail Gorbachev (former communist leaser of the U.S.S.R.) is running a “green think tank”?
Armed with Gore’s utility bills for the last two years, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research charged Monday that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president’s 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours.
That’s roughly $30,000/yr. Al Gore, the eco-warrior wants you to cut back and lose your job, your security, your choices, and any luxury you have or may acquire. He on the other hand like all lefties (socialist, communists, Hollywood types) feels he is better than you and does not have to lose his luxury, security, or money.
“the bottom line is that every family has a different carbon footprint. And what Vice President Gore has asked is for families to calculate that footprint and take steps to reduce and offset it.”
The vice president has done that, Eider argues, and the family tries to offset that carbon footprint by purchasing their power through the local Green Power Switch program
Ever wonder why the very rich are for Socialism? They have money and believe they will keep it. They also believe you need them to take care of you. Think about all the government programs out there to do just that. Furthermore they believe that you won’t notice that they are not suffering whilst you are, and have taken only token action.
Liberal Hypocrisy Exposed
Al Gore’s propaganda piece “An Inconvenient Truth” is shedding new light upon the hypocrisy of the left, and they don’t like being shown as hypocritical.
The press release from Johnson’s group, an obscure conservative think tank founded by Johnson in 2004 when he was 24, was given splashy attention on the highly-trafficked Drudge Report Monday evening, and former Gore aides saw it as part of a piece, along with an Fox News Channel investigation from earlier this month of Gore’s use of private planes in 2000. Last year, a seemingly amateurish Youtube video mocking the “An Inconvenient Truth” turned out to have been produced by slick Republican public relations firm called DCI, which just happens to have oil giant Exxon as a client.
Note the attacks on the group who is pointing out Gore’s Hypocrisy, but only those considered Conservative. First, they are clearly saying he is too young. Second, he is on “splashy Drudge” (which outdraws ABC). Third, he was on — horrors! — Fox News Channel. This of course is another attack on a competitor, and has the dual effect of being a smear because unlike ABC (and the rest of the mainstream media) Fox is not a lefty PR outlet. Fourth, how dare the Right use the Left’s tactics on YouTube! Worse, they have clients who are oil! OMG, how horrible. Note that they don’t mind their own groups hooking up with killers/rapists/child molesters/communists for lefty causes, that is considered key-dokey. Lastly, my favorite attack: it’s “obscure”. Note the next time ABC quotes a liberal think tank. Will they say obscure or give it some status. If it is obscure, note how they don’t say that about liberal think tanks.
In contrast, liberal critics are not smeared. Note that they are pushed to the bottom of the article; an area few people read. The smears however are up in the top half, a place most people will see; and only about Conservatives.
Writing in The Atlantic Monthly in 2004, liberal writer Eric Alterman criticized producer Laurie David for her use of private Gulfstream jets. David, he wrote “reviles the owners of SUVs as terrorist enablers, yet gives herself a pass when it comes to chartering one of the most wasteful uses of fossil-based fuels imaginable.” New Republic writer Gregg Easterbrook followed up, computing that “one cross-country flight in a Gulfstream is the same, in terms of Persian-Gulf dependence and greenhouse-gas emissions, as if she drove a Hummer for an entire year.”
Wow, they called one guy a liberal. Oh the horrors. Seems that even liberals, honest ones agree with the “obscure” think tank.
