Tolerance, Not So Much

The so-called “tolerant” left is now becoming so emboldened (or is it frustrated?), that they are now showing their true colors.
Sir Elton John wants religion banned completely — because he believes it promotes hatred of gays.
Speaking to the Observer Music Monthly Magazine the singer said religion lacked compassion and turned people into “hateful lemmings”.

Sir Elton said: “I think religion has always tried to turn hatred towards gay people. Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays.
“But there are so many people I know who are gay and love their religion. From my point of view I would ban religion completely.
Oh I do so love it when the left shows their true fascists attitudes. The left is all about hate, they just put on a good show of tolerance. Well, most of the time.

“Organised religion doesn’t seem to work. It turns people into really hateful lemmings and it’s not really compassionate.”
It “doesn’t seem to work”? And it turns them into “lemmings”? Memo to Elton: Lemmings are not the idiot creatures you think they are — aren’t libs animal lovers, don’t they believe that animals are smarter and ‘better’ than people — anyway, the documentary that shows lemmings throwing themselves off the cliff, was staged. How ironic is that! A documentary by liberals was staged, much as their “tolerance”, patriotism, and belief in equality is staged.
Now why does he believe that religion is at fault? You are gonna love this!
He said there was a lack of religious leadership, particularly in world politics, and complained that people do not take to the streets to protest any more.
Yep, they don’t protest anymore! I am thinking “WTF is he talking about?”. Does he not get any news channels? So religion would be cool with him if there were more useless protests? Seems so.
Oh wait, it gets better.
He added: “The world is near escalating to World War Three and where are the leaders of each religion? Why aren’t they having a conclave? Why aren’t they coming together?
“I said this after 9/11 and people thought I was nuts. Instead of more violence why isn’t there a meeting of religious leaders?
“It’s like the peace movement in the Sixties. Musicians got through to people by getting out there and doing peace concerts but we don’t seem to do them any more.
“If John Lennon were alive today he’d be leading it with a vengeance,” he said.
Sir Elton said people were too busy blogging on the Internet to go out onto the streets to stand up for what they believed in.
Whoa! revelation, man! It’s blogging being driven by religion that is the problem! Dood! that is like so not right.
Seems Mr John is upset about the left’s loss of ability to control the world and wants to blame religion instead of the left’s (and his) own ideology.
And if religion is so hate-filled why have them lead at all? Shouldn’t he be happy about them NOT getting involved? And is it not the responsibility of politicians to handle the peace department? What happened to “separation of Church and State”? Wouldn’t putting the haters in charge be a problem? (Yes I know that they are in charge already, but Mr. John still believes in his 60s nonsense)
Did I mention that hypocrisy is the cornerstone of liberalism? That and living in the fantasy world of the 60s, when they thought they were effective. Sucks to learn you were really a failure. Last to know, and all that.
This is typical of the powerful when losing power, they look to place blame on someone or something else. They need a straw man. Religion is an easy target since most religions don’t accept the abnormal behavior of homosexuals and the left must be all things abnormal. This of course is seen as “intolerance”.
Funny how it’s o.k. for the left to call for the abolishment of religion (like all fascists) and yet they are not considered intolerant or fascists or evil. O.K. they don’t believe in evil, but they do so love labeling anyone not agreeing with them as fascists and/or intolerant.
Wake up, grow up, and accept the fact that liberalism (not Liberalism) is the problem. Oh and stop being so intolerant!
Ironically Mr. John is not so sure how he would fight for his cause.
He pledged to continue to campaign for gay rights saying: “I’m going to fight for them whether I do it silently behind the scenes or so vocally that I get locked up.
Isn’t doing it “silently” the problem? You know like blogging? Oh wait blogging is speaking out. Didn’t he just accost Religion for not protesting? How about some action to back up your words? Oh wait, that is only required of everyone else, not liberals.
Dear, Elton. You and your type have controlled the schools and the government for over 50 years and yet you blame religion for all the ills of world. Could it be that your ideas and beliefs are the problem and you are merely projecting your frustration at your own failures and hatred of self onto religion? Of course you are. If you did not have all those people around you kissing your ass; you might see some reality. It’s easy to sit in your ‘ivory tower’ and criticize everyone else when you want for nothing. Grow up.
