Pokerchamps Runs Scared

Pokerchamps is closing it’s site to US residents. Now it sounds like a big deal, but not really. Pokerchamps has never really been a factor in the online poker “boom”. The site had some unique ideas, but lacked any type of marketing sensibility, never gaining any traction.
They are saying it is part of an upgrade that allows “geo location” which will allow them to start blocking U.S. IP addys. This will allow them to block U.S. players, which is said to be a longstanding policy.
“We have also incorporated geo-location software which enables us to implement a long standing and consistent group company policy of not permitting access to individuals in the United States.
Funny they did not have any problem signing me up, or wanting me to be an affiliate, even though they knew where i lived. Running scared, worried about the U.S. “crack-down”? or are they looking to save face at not being able to get any significant play from the U.S.
