We Know Who She Is!

“Jane Cordova Doe”, the little girl found in a dumpster six weeks back has been identified as Crystal Figueroa. Her Grandmother reported her missing in California. An alert Deputy realized who it was and notified Metro. Metro is saying “we got lucky”.
Gladys Perez has been arrested in California and waived her extradition rights. Marc Anthony Colon has been arrested in Minnesota on a Parole violation (out of California).
What boggles the mind is how a parent, much less both can murder their own child. Then again he is typical of the “second chance” attitude — where you get 10 or 12 chances — that seems to be running rampant in society.

Metro looked into hundreds of leads, but it was not until the girl’s grandmother reported her missing in central California that they found out who she was. The girl’s mother, 24-year-old Gladys Perez and her 28-year-old boyfriend, Marc Anthony Colon are now under arrest facing murder charges.
A Criminal Complaint and police report detail the child’s final hours. The report says the child was beaten at a downtown Las Vegas apartment complex and began vomiting on the night of Jan.11th. The mother, Gladys Perez, told police the child was still vomiting and complaining of stomach pain the next morning and they decided to take her to the hospital. Perez told police that the girl’s body began to seize and then she stopped breathing and died in the car.
In the police report, Perez says that they drove around for a while and then Colon decided to put the girl’s body in a box and place it in a dumpster.
According to an autopsy, the child had multiple abrasions to the face and numerous contusions to the chest, stomach, back and buttocks, arms, hands, legs and feet. She also had two broken ribs and a lacerated pancreas.
I just don’t get it. If anyone deserves the death penalty it is these two. No doubt someone will come forward and tell us they are just mixed up crazy kids and we should not be so harsh. Bull. Fry’em, that’s what they deserve.

Marc Anthony Colon and Gladys Perez left for Las Vegas from Los Angeles driving two cars, an Infiniti and a Dodge Intrepid. The cars were loaded up with Crystal, Crystal’s sister Lesley and Marc Anthony’s two children. They arrived in the Las Vegas Valley on a Sunday, Jan. 8 and stayed at the Stratosphere for one night.
On Jan. 9, the family walked to downtown Las Vegas. Crystal was in good health. That same day they rented a weekly apartment downtown on Carson Street. On Jan. 11, Marc Anthony went gambling and lost most of their money. When he got back to the apartment, he and Gladys got in an argument about his gambling and it turned violent. Marc Anthony beat both Gladys and Crystal. Both of them were visibly hurt.
On Jan. 12, the next morning, Crystal complained her stomach hurt and she was throwing up. Gladys went to get medication at a nearby Walgreens. When she got back Crystal had a seizure. They wrapped her in the blue blanket she was found with, put her in the Inifiniti and went looking for a hospital. But they decided not to because Gladys and Crystal looked so beat up. And then, Crystal stopped breathing. The couple panicked, drove around until they saw the dumpster at Villa Cordova apartments, put Crystal’s body into the dumpster, went back to the apartment, packed up and left.
According to the police documents the couple put everything in Colon’s car and abandoned the Infiniti at the Primm Valley resort on the California-Nevada state line. Gladys Perez says when they got to California she and Colon planned on killing themselves after they safely left the other children with family members.
