Seems that the Dentists in the U.K.’s health system (NHS) are losing their appetite for Socialism. Ananova is reporting that 70% of Dentists “might quit the NHS” if reforms are put into place.

Almost seven out of 10 dentists might quit the NHS when new Government reforms come into force, a survey claimed.

Research by the Daily Mail newspaper found that 44% have left the service in recent months or sharply reduced their patient list, while another 24% are considering resigning.

The survey of 120 dental practices also brought criticism about the new system’s overhaul of charges.

Now you could look at this in one of two ways. Either the Dentists are greedy gits who want the benefits of a guaranteed Socialist pay check without having to listen to the government or the Government is out of touch with people. No, wait; both would be true.

This is a classic example of why “modified” Socialism will never work. The Government is not able to respond fast enough to changes, so anyone who can leave and get into a Capitalist system will do so when it becomes too painful to continue inside the Socialist system.

Among the controversial proposals is enforcing dentists to take a whole family as NHS patients or none of them. Currently many dentists treat under-18s on the NHS and offset the cost by privately treating their parents.

Socialism does not work because it is about enforcing an artificial equality. One that anyone forced into it, will resist.

Patients will only pay once, no matter how much work is done, which has led to industry fears that people will wait until they need multiple treatments to save money.

Even the laziest, most useless person will demand more. This is why “welfare” never works. The “ruling class” — politicians and bureaucrats — will take advantage of special “privileges” — the inefficiencies of a Socialist society — to help themselves to what they believe they “deserve” for “taking care of their fellow man”. This is just S.O.P. in Socialist Society.
