WaPo, Corrupt to the Core

Ben Bradlee defended his star protege Bob Woodward, who concealed information for 2 years that would exonerate “Scooter” Libby.
“I don’t see anything wrong with that,” said Bradlee, who ran the Post during the turbulent Watergate coverage that made Woodward famous. “He doesn’t have to disclose every goddamn thing he knows.”
If it is ok now, then it must have been ok in the 70s during Watergate. What else has he not told us? Or is it that they are both so arrogant that they think they can do what they please?
Both Woodward and Bradlee have bizarre relationships with the Washington Post. Neither seem to be too concerned about the Post. Both seem to be more concerned about themselves and their own little fiefdom. Not really a surprise considering the media, especially the NYT, WaPo, and the big three networks consider themselves superior to everyone and the law.
The Mainstream Media just keeps killing off what little respect they have. The string of journalists who not only lie, but put their own interests first while telling everyone that they are “out for the truth”; is becoming never ending parade.
Bradlee, however, said it should not surprise people that Woodward had such a conversation about Plame with a White House official. “He’s got his finger in a lot of pies,” he said, adding, “Woodward never has ‘no involvement’ because he is who he is. He’s always poking around the White House because he’s always writing a book about the White House. So it doesn’t surprise me that he knows a lot about that.”
So Bradlee is just going to ignore the fact that Woodward allowed a man’s life to be destroyed even though he knew the charges to be false? All he is concerned about is that Woodward knew, and we should not be surprised by this?
This is how out of touch the MSM is today. They just don’t get it that they have been caught. They continue to try and fool us. It won’t work.
