Wash Post says Feel Sorry for Terrorists
Nov 1st, 2005 by Mark
This is amazing. A bunch of terrorists, who are well versed in propaganda have been able to get the loony left media types to buy into their “we are so sad” nonsense.
The Washington Post today reports sympathetically on one terrorist at GITMO (yes the liberals favorite place to lie about) who decided to off himself. It was done in a manner as to attract attention.
Dossari’s suicide attempt two weeks ago is believed to be the first such event witnessed by an outsider at the prison, and one of several signs that lawyers and human rights advocates contend point to growing desperation among the more than 500 detainees there.
Boo f’n Hoo. They have spent years terrorizing us, and that is o.k.? They wanted us to feel despondent, distracted, and hopeless; where is your outcry over that? We put them where they can’t attack us, and we are supposed to feel sorry that they are sad? Like hell I will.
The fact that this is against the teachings of Islam seems to completely escape WaPo. Either they don’t know, and ignorance that is damnable, or they don’t want to expose it. That is more likely. Think about it. Why would they write a sympathetic piece about a terrorist who is ‘doin it for allah’ and then have to admit that he does not even follow the teachings? Honesty? Yea right. Journalistic ethics? Oh you must be kidding.
This of course gets very little coverage by WaPo.
U.S. officials are trying to return many of the detainees to their home countries, but the process has been fraught with delays and diplomatic wrangling.
They put that in the article and then breeze on by it. Why is it taking so long to repatriate? Could it be that their countries DON’T WANT THEM BACK? Hmmm.
This is just ridiculous.
Detainees “see it as the only means they have of exercising control over their lives,” Colangelo-Bryan said in publicly describing the incident for the first time. “Their only means of effective protest are to harm themselves, either by hunger strike or doing something like this.”
How about renouncing terrorism? That would be a good start. It just baffles me that we are supposed to feel sorry for them because they can’t run around and kill us. We are supposed to be heart-broken that they are sad that they are not able to kill us. Good! I am glad they are suffering, they need to suffer.
This of course is at the bottom of the article.
“This technique, hunger striking, is consistent with the al Qaeda training, and reflects the detainees’ attempts to elicit media attention and bring pressure on the United States government,” Martin said. The military also has long argued that terrorist groups have instructed fighters to invent claims of abuse if incarcerated
Why is this not pointed out early? Could it be that this would show why the “suicide” is not what WaPo wants you to think it is? Of course. They also wait to point out the affiliations of the attorney making the claims for the terrorist at the end of the article. These tactics are the usual M.O. of manipulators, propagandist attempting to appear neutral.
