Tallcheif Pleads Guilty
Oct 31st, 2005 by Mark
Heather Tallchief entered a plea of guilty to three federal charges, stemming from the decade old Circus Circus Armored Car ‘Heist’.
Heather Tallchief, 33, could be sentenced to up to 40 years if a federal judge in Las Vegas imposes the most severe penalties for the 1993 heist in which $2.9 million was taken. Tallchief will plead guilty to bank and credit union embezzlement and passport fraud, according to court documents filed in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas.
Her lawyer, Robert Axelrod, of Meriden, Conn., said he would be “surprised and disappointed” if Tallchief received a sentence of more than 10 years.
Tallchief was employed by Loomis-Fargo to drive an Armored Vehicle. Her boyfriend at the time, Roberto Solis spirited away with the money in the vehicle after picking up the daily run. The take was $2.9 million.
Roberto Solis is still at large. Tallchief had been living in the Netherlands with her son. She says she surrendered so she could spend the end of her life with her son.
