Some idiot at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport caused two planes to “near miss”. An Air Traffic Controller confused two planes and gave them conflicting instructions. They missed each other by 100 feet. The controller is “getting more training”. How about a beating?
McCarran is not a complicated airport to be an ATC at. The planes come in one direction and leave in the opposite direction. East to West. Rarely do planes go North to South. W to E, and S to N happen so infrequently that people think something is wrong when they do.
