King Fahd of Saudi Arabia dies King Fahd Obit Background On King Fahd
Reports from Saudi Arabia say that King Fahd has died.
The reports quote hospital officials and sources close to the royal family, and Saudi TV interrupted regular programmes with Koran readings.
King Fahd had been frail since suffering a stroke a decade ago and had delegated the running of the kingdom to Crown Prince Abdullah.
Defense Minister Prince Sultan is next in line. He was named Crown Prince says Saudi Arabia state television.
The son of King Fahd died under suspicious circumstances after making nice comments about America in the winner’s circle at the Kentucky Derby. I wonder how this will change things in Saudi Arabia?
