The Supreme court on it’s final day of this year’s session; declined to hear the case of the journalist who has refused to reveal sources used in writing a article about disgraced C.I.A. employee Valerie Plame. This of course means that the reporter must turn over the name of the person who leaked the Valerie Plame’s identity. The leaking is against the law and has National Security implications. The reporter’s believe they have some right to keep their sources secret, much as they believe their is a ‘right to privacy’. Neither of which is true.

The “New York Times” and other liberal media believe that the Supreme court can modify the constitution when it suits the left’s purposes. For instance: abortion, segregation and using it to keep the South down, attacking Bush and ignoring the law to give themselves cover; are all o.k. with the liberals in the media. They want the amendmants changed by the court to attack religion and gun ownership. That is o.k. with the left. Now, however they are suddenly upset that the same power they have trumpeted for the court, the last 50 years is now biting them in the ass.

The one amendment that the left feels should never be changed is the 1st. Of course they only believe that the part about the ‘free press’ should be ‘out of bounds’ for anyone to touch. The left media believes they are above the law, and have rights and privilages the rest of us do not. Many times people have said that the left’s reliance on the court to modify laws the left does not like is now coming home to roost. And are they crowing.

Once again the left wants everyone else to play by the rules, but they don’t have to play by those rules. The feel they are ‘above us’, and they are finding out that the sword cuts both ways. Poetic Justice.

Unfortunately the left has damaged the country to the point we may not survive. Granted this may be what they wanted all along.
