Box Office Blues

Is it just me or is “Hollywood” not getting the message?
For the 18th weekend in a row the box office numbers have been dismal (not going up, which is dismal in tinseltown). Not only have they declined but they are actually going down. Yes down. In a time when people want to be entertained, they refuse to deliver. This is the worst slump since record keeping began.
The problem is that the ‘players’ (decision makers) don’t really know what to make. Amazing isn’t it? The so called experts don’t even know what films to make. Shouldn’t be a surprise, really. They live in an echo chamber, where only ‘big name’ stars and ‘photo ops’ are king. They actually believe we are so stupid as to buy into their tripe. That is why they keep preaching to us, instead of entertaining us. They actually think their opinion matters. Most of them feel guilty because they know their work is over valued. So they take it out on us.
What we don’t need anymore of:
- Nut cases pretending to be in love with the latest hot star, or ‘in’ race.
- Crack whores pretending to be elegant ladies, hanging out with the ‘in’ crowd crack whores; while playing children in films.
- Another butt ugly, chain smoking, crack using, bones showing through her skin media created ‘pop tart’.
- anymore preachy films about why the U.S. is evil and Cuba is better, made by people who could leave for Cuba but won’t.
- Anyone who is an actor telling anyone who has a real job how to live life.
That should be a good start.
